Jørgen Løgstrup becomes a fully qualified electrician in Copenhagen.
Jørgen and his wife, Eva, raise funds to open a small electrical shop in Øster Farimagsgade 30 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Both Eva and Jørgen are busy in their new shop. While Eva creates beautiful lampshades and attends to the customers, Jørgen makes electric installations during the day and oil-fired heating systems in the evening.

Jørgen Løgstrup notices that increasing demand for switchboards results in prolonged delivery time. This sparks the idea of a modular system for switchboard manufacturing. In May of1958, Jørgen Løgstrup obtains his license to trade as a metalworker and founds the company Logstrup as we know it today.

As business is growing, it is time to find larger offices and production facilities.
Jørgen Løgstrup rents a 600sqm old henhouse in Gurre, North Zealand where he isable fit in sales offices, accounting and assembly. At this location, the first modular system see the light of day. This allows Logstrup to design and build all types of switchboards from a standard range of parts.

The factory in Kvistgaard is enlarged to 3000sqm, and the building contains manufacturing, warehousing and panel assembly.

Logstrup UK Limited is established in Eccles, Manchester. This is the main UK sales organisation, panel assembly workshop and warehouse.
Lögstrup Sweden AB is established and opens warehouse, panel assembly workshop and sales office in Malmö.

Expansion of Logstrup production facilities in Kvistgaard.
In response to growing demand for our low-voltage switchboards, we completed two new 2,500 m² production halls in summer 2023. These facilities house a cutting-edge, 75-meter-long automated production line, partly powered by solar energy, featuring robots and advanced machinery for punching, bending, and sorting. The new line can process items in under 60 seconds—more than twice the speed of our previous systems.
